The Optimum Body Difference

Pain can be caused by soft tissue irregularities, motor control dysfunctions, and poor movement or breathing patterns. Typically, all are present, and they feed into one another to create an increasingly complex cycle of pain. If you are treating your pain by addressing only one of these issues, as is common with most forms of therapy, then results will often be incomplete.

Only fully integrated treatment combining movement assessments and gait analysis, motor control correction, soft-tissue work, and breathing correction has the power to identify and correct the root causes of pain quickly and efficiently.

Integrated therapy sessions at Optimum Body typically begin with the Selective Functional Movement Assessment™ and Anatomy in Motion™-based gait analysis. This detailed analysis allows the therapist to identify the breakdowns in your movement and provides a road map for effective treatment.

With this information, I would then addresses the root causes of your pain and decreased performance by utilizing a powerful combination of advanced manual techniques. With NKT® and P-DTR®, we are able to tap directly into the motor control center of the brain to identify and correct faulty programming. We then use ART® and the STRAIT Method®, treating scar tissue and adhesions in the muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and nerves to further restore pain-free range of motion. Finally, corrective breathing and movement therapies are used to establish and maintain proper movement patterns, maximizing the long term benefits of your work with us.

Our experience has shown us that integrated therapy of this nature can provide powerful results in a relatively short period of time. Most individuals respond exceptionally well and can return to their normal activity in 2-4 sessions. For advanced cases, more visits may be required. However, if you do not feel significant improvement after 5-6 sessions, it is likely your condition requires further investigation, at which point we will make recommendations and referrals.
